Easter Egg Hunts
I (Jordan) have a very large extended family and we get together several times a year. We try and get together and do an Easter Egg Hunt each year, and this year I am in charge. We have about 15 kids that will be there ranging from age 12 – a 2 week old baby. So, I wanted to think of some fun things for all of them to do together other than just hiding eggs.
I decided to get each of the kids a bubble wand for them to either play with at the Egg Hunt or take home. I found these in the dollar section at Target! Also, I have a Silhouette Cameo so I took that extra step and added each of the kids’ names on their bubble wand.
I also found this cute little Egg Hunt Kit in the dollar section at Target. You could put them in the ground around where they are going to hide eggs (which is what I am going to do), use them to have a photo booth or even stick them in a cake or cupcakes.
In addition to having an Egg Hunt, we are going to be doing other activities. I bought these bands on Amazon for the kids to have a three legged race. We are also going to be doing an egg toss & then drawing Easter pictures with sidewalk chalk. In the past we have even flown kites or played softball.
Easter Basket Fillers
We’re always trying to think of easter basket fillers that aren’t candy! Yes- our children love candy, but lets be real… there’s no point in filling their baskets with tons of candy because i’m not going to let them eat it all and it will end up going bad and getting thrown away. This year I hit the jackpot in the target dollar spot!
Cute notebooks, notepads, pens, markers, chalk and other crafty thing the girls LOVE! Everything was under $3 (The birthday items are for a different occasion of course! But still great $1 spot finds!) Each year I like to get each child a new easter book. So with my target finds and a new book, Easter baskets will be colorful and complete!
